Shanghai Genomics (SG) owns a state-of-the-art cell culture facility with FACS/sort, fluorescent microscopy and viral infection capabilities. Its scientists have established a variety of cell-based assays in a wide range of mammalian cell lines. Using these assays, SG has a great deal of experience in target validation and drug discovery.

SG provides kinase assay services in both mechanistic studies and primary kinase screening applications. Protein kinase regulates many critical biological mechanisms, including cell growth, proliferation, differentiation and metabolism by protein phosphorylation. Drug developments for kinase inhibitors start from kinase assays, the lead compounds are usually profiled for specificity before moving into further tests.
