Ying Luo, Director, Ph.D., General Manager

Dr. Luo completed his undergraduate education at Peking Union Medical College (Peking University's Premedicine) in 1982 and received his doctorate in biomedical sciences from the University of Connecticut Health Center in 1991. During 1993, he joined the University of California, San Francisco as a postdoctoral fellow studying HIV gene regulation. Prior to Shanghai Genomics Dr. Luo gained experience at various biotech firms, including Aviron, Clonetech, and served as the senior director of Genomics and Target Discovery at Rigel Pharmaceuticals. He is currently Presient of GNI Group and General Manager of Shanghai Genomics. Dr Luo's research was in the field of protein-protein interactions in cancer and inflammation signaling pathways. In the last twenty years, Dr. Luo has authored more than 35 research publications in the top scientific journals.

Yuwen Wu, VP, Chief Financial Officer

Yuwen Wu is the Chief Financial Officer of Shanghai Genomics and graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. She has been supervising the Department of Finance and Accounting in Shanghai University since 2001. Ms. Wu has held various finance management positions at Dengfeng Electronic Technology Co. and Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park Development Co.; some of her responsibilities included investment analysis, budget management, and accounting. Familiar with international accounting standards and financial reporting systems, she is a Senior Certified International Finance Manager and the senior accountant at Shanghai Genomics.
Wenjun Chen, VP

Wenjun Chen is the vice president of Shanghai Genomics and serves as the senior director iun biological research services. Dr. Chen supervises the CRO services branch in the area of gene cloning, protein generation, antibody production and cell biology. After receiving his BS in chemistry and molecular biology from Fudan University in 2002, Dr. Chen then spent three years in the United States at Rutgers University conducting his postdoctoral researches on MAPK signaling cascades. In 2006 he returned to China and joined Shanghai Genomics Dr. Chen was later appointed vice president in 2010.
Qin Yuji, VP

Professor Qin graduated from Hunan University, majoring in organic synthesis in 1963. He held many important positions such as Director of the First Research Department of Shanghai Pesticide Research Institute, President and General Manager of Shengang Triangle Science & Technology Industrial Company, and General Manager of Shanghai Jingui Science & Technology Company, before joining Shanghia Genomics. He has extensive experience in the chemical synthesis field and led a dozen major national/local research programs. He was rewarded with the one First Class Award and one Third Class Award of the prestigious National Science and Technology Progress Award, one First Class Award and one Second Class Award of Ministry of Chemical Industry Science and Technology Progress Award, and many other major local awards. In his career, he has written and published tens of papers and has been granted many patents.
