The Chinese National Human Genome Center at Shanghai (www.chgc.sh.cn) was established in Shanghai on March 4th, 1998 and hung out its brass plate on October 29th, 1998. The Center is supported by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Chinese Academy of Science and the Municipal Government of Shanghai. The Center is located in Shanghai’s Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Pudong New Area.

The Chinese National Human Genome Center (www.chbg.org.cn) was founded in 1998 by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology and was financially supported by the central and local governments. The founders of the CHGB also include many national institutes and universities, such as the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and the Beijing University of Medical Sciences.
