2009/08         Dr. Ying Luo, Chairman and CEO of GNI Ltd. and Shanghai Genomics, Inc., received the "Outstanding Innovation and Entrepreneurship Award" at the event of "10th Anniversary of Focus on Zhangjiang".

2009/07/14         One of the leading drug candidate for liver fibrosis, F351, has received patent granted by Australia. This is the first step for Shanghai Genomics to seek global protection for F351 in US, Europe, Canada, and Japan. The company has received patent grant in China in 2007. It is currently in Phase I clinical trial in the Peking Union Hospital. At the same time, the company also received patent grant for F647's use in anti-liver fibrosis and anti-acute lung injury. This strenghtened the company's intellectual property position of key products.

2009/01/21    The leading drug candidate F647 demonstrated good results in Phase II trial for Radiation Pneumonitis. In 2008, Shanghai Genomics has completed Phase II trial of F647 for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. The Company will prepare for Phase III trial of F647 for Radiation Pneumonitis in the second half of 2009. NDA filing is also be prepared for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Dr. Ying Luo said, "Completion of another Phase II trial of F647 proved that Shanghai Genomics is a leading biotech company in China. With the progress of Phase I trial of F351 for liver fibrosis, Shanghai Genomics will build a rich novel drug pipeline in China."
